O, Lord, whom to know is to love, I beseech you to increase in me the knowledge of your truth. In the truth which I know, establish me; whatever I ought to know teach me; in truths in which I waiver, strengthen me; in things in which I am deceived, correct me; in things hard to understand, guide me; and from untruths, deliverance. Send out your light and your truth, and let them lead me, until I know as I am known.

Beggar’s Table Church began with a group of folks meeting in a coffee shop on Tuesday nights who had one thing in common, a love for asking questions and dialoguing about meaningful things.

This group of people evolved into a community desiring to be an authentic expression of God’s mission and church in Kansas City. An opportunity presented itself when Christ Community Church offered to help give shape to this desire by planting a new church.

Still holding to our love of ongoing conversation and dialogue, we strive to be an authentic expression of Christ’s body in our spheres of influence bridging the gap between Sunday and Monday.
